Hosting a Scrapbooking CropAre you planning on hosting a scrapbooking crop?  If so, you’re in for a world of fun!  Scrapbooking is a fun and creative hobby enjoyed by millions worldwide, and a crop is a great way to get experienced and novice scrappers together to share cheap scrapbooking supplies, get new pointers, and to create some great new pages and books.  But as much as it is, when hosting a scrapbooking crop, there are a few important things to consider.

Your scrapbookers are going to need something more to do than just creating page layouts all weekends, even if they are the most diehard scrappers.  When hosting a scrapbooking crop be sure to provide other activities that attendees can participate in, or provide instructors and demonstrators of new products or techniques.  This means that the attendees won’t be drained from trying to create new pages and books for hours and hours at end and can get a rest from all the activity.

Fairway GolfFor an avid golfer there is no better way to spend part of their summer than taking a splendid Ontario golf vacation, and the couple who truly enjoys the game can find a facility that welcomes them to the courses. Not only can they learn the techniques and skills needed to become better on the links, but the evenings can be filled with quality time together as they work at a hobby they both enjoy.

Some countries such as England, Canada, and Spain have golf schools held at top golf resorts. While the days are filled with planned classes and many include competition, the evenings are generally free for individuals as well as couples to do some sightseeing while on their golf school vacation. While many packages are three days or more, there are a few that are only or two day trips. There are some tournaments that give out custom golf balls as prizes to winning couples.

Perhaps one member of the family is already an accomplished golfer and has had trouble teaching the other part of the couple. A golf school vacation can provide the new golfer with the training they need to better understand what their partner is trying to explain while the more experienced of the two can fine tune their game.

Credit with 5 Comments

Credit Score Changes May Affect Mortgage RefinanceFICO credit scores are changing, which may be a benefit or a detriment if you plan to refinance your mortgage or buy a home. Some borrowers could see credit scores change by up to 20 points. Here are 5 new credit score factors:

1. Amount of Available Credit

The ratio of account balance to the amount of credit available appears to have more influence on the credit score formula. The less credit available that a borrower has on credit cards, the lower the score would be. More available credit would mean a better score. This change could have a broad impact on credit scores used by mortgage lenders to qualifying borrowers, if credit card issuers implement more cuts on their maximum limits. A borrower’s credit score may drop if the available credit limit is reduced, whether an account has a balance or not.
