I confess to being totally shocked when I came across a website whose business is Moon Advertising. Apparently, we have used every available planetary surface here on earth to advertise everything under the sun from the latest throwaway gadget to Viagra, and now, the natural beauty of the moon is being eyed as the celestial billboard of the future. MoonPublicity.com intends to take it to the Moon, literally.
With this personal rant, I add my voice to those that oppose this venture.
Moon Publicity justifies their moon advertising project with various references to the saving of mankind and states that monetary gain is not the key behind this endeavor. If you go to their page, you will find that comments are closed and if they did allow them in the first place, they have not been posted.
