The history of vitamins and minerals goes back as far as memory. Although many of the early physicians did not recognize the content of what they prescribed as vitamins, they did recognize that adding back to a patients diet that which was lacking could reverse certain conditions.
Today the vitamins and minerals industry is a multi-million dollar business that continues to grow each year. Its success comes largely from people’s need to find more natural means to improve their health and guard against disease. People around the world now rely on vitamins and nutritional supplements to give them back the value lacking in their foods and diets.
When Congress voted to change the FDA regulations of nutritional supplements in 1994, an increase in the popularity of vitamins and minerals supplements was seen. Since that time, the consumer has been able to find these products in almost every store and mall throughout America.
Your metabolic rate is the rate at which your body burns the calories it needs to live. A high metabolic rate will require more calories than a low metabolic rate. This is why people often find that although they are duplicating a weight loss program that is working for someone they know, they just are not losing as much weight as that person. Because the metabolic rate is different from one individual to another, a weight loss plan that works for one person will not necessarily work for another.
Our bodies consume calories 24/7, even when we are at rest and sleeping. Muscle tissue continues to be fed around the clock even if we are not physically active. This is known as metabolic reactive. Knowing this, it stands to reason that if we want the body to burn more calories to facilitate weight loss, we need to boost our metabolic rate.
So what factors do we need to consider in order to kick-start our metabolic rate?
If you have ever applied for a credit card, loan, mortgage, or financing of any sort, your credit report has been checked by the financial institution you applied to.
Despite the fact that an individual’s credit report is something that can effect their ability to obtain financing, many are unaware of just what a credit report is. Even more common is the fact that most individuals have never checked the information on their credit report and have no clue what it is saying about them.
Your credit report is a historical record of the manner in which you have handled credit. It is composed of your personal identifiable information, such as name, social insurance number, and your current and past addresses, employment, etc.
More importantly, your credit report lists all credit cards, regardless if they have been closed, and the history attached to their use. It lists all loans, mortgages, and financing you have received along with your credit behavior in regards to that financing.
I apologize for the lack of posts the last little while. I have been dealing with an aging hard drive which decided to begin making files unavailable.
I have been in the IT industry for many years and I will be the first one to admit when I’ve messed up. In this case, I truly have since I allowed a very busy schedule to interfere with my backup strategies and as a result I will pay the price in the loss of some valuable files.
So how do you avoid the computer stress that I’ve been dealing with of late?
Begin with a backup strategy of some sort. External hard drives these days are very inexpensive when compared to just ten years ago. My first 2 GB hard drive cost in the neighborhood of $300 CAD way back then. The other day, when it became apparent that my main storage drive was in serious trouble, I picked up a 1 TB external hard drive for only $149.00 CAD. That is a huge cost difference.
