Fairway GolfFor an avid golfer there is no better way to spend part of their summer than taking a splendid Ontario golf vacation, and the couple who truly enjoys the game can find a facility that welcomes them to the courses. Not only can they learn the techniques and skills needed to become better on the links, but the evenings can be filled with quality time together as they work at a hobby they both enjoy.

Some countries such as England, Canada, and Spain have golf schools held at top golf resorts. While the days are filled with planned classes and many include competition, the evenings are generally free for individuals as well as couples to do some sightseeing while on their golf school vacation. While many packages are three days or more, there are a few that are only or two day trips. There are some tournaments that give out custom golf balls as prizes to winning couples.

Perhaps one member of the family is already an accomplished golfer and has had trouble teaching the other part of the couple. A golf school vacation can provide the new golfer with the training they need to better understand what their partner is trying to explain while the more experienced of the two can fine tune their game.

Bowling Spares - How to Knock Down Those Remaining PinsWhile the average person would ask, “Just how hard can it be to roll a heavy ball down a straight alley and knock down ten pins?” a new bowler knows it can be harder than you’d think! If a bowler fails to knock down all of the ten pins on the first attempt, then he has a “spare” to pick up. If the leftover pins are far apart, the bowler has a difficult “split.” Thankfully, the creators of the sport decided to be merciful… bowlers get not one, but two tries to knock down all ten pins.

The Benefits of Picking Up Your Spares…

There is a good reason to knock out the remaining pins. When you clear your spare or split, that score gets added to the next frame, greatly increasing your score. Imagine what your average would be if you routinely cleaned up your act! Picking up your spares or splits will always vary in difficulty, but with practice, patience and perseverance, you too will be clearing frames like the pros!
