I always hate seeing parents argue in front of their kids. It is so depressing.

I like your post because some of it I can totally relate too. I totally agree that you should never fight in front of your kids, because it may cause them trauma. Also there’s this saying that kids do what they saw from the grown ups and it is not a good example. Also build a relationship with them not authority. Respect comes from love not from fear.
Raising kids is a difficult thing but you offer a lot of great advice. And I think the most important rule of thumb you mentioned was to communicate. Its key.
I think communication is the most important factor when disciplining them. Make sure they know what they are being punished for at why it was wrong.
My wife and I talk too much in from of the kids and we use scared tactics daily. I learned a lot from this post and will try some of these techniques. The mind map is easy to understand. Thanks.
