How To Be A Time Management MomBeing a single mom of 3 children I find that there isn’t enough hours in the day to accomplish all the tasks of the day. Here are a few key points that I have found help me to be a time management mom.

It’s a lot harder to accomplish everything you want to when you got little ones that depend solely on you. One of the things I find helpful is to start preparing for the next day the day before.

I have one daughter in school, So I prepare everything school related the night before. Therefore, my mornings are a little quieter. I get up in the morning and make a cup of coffee and sit there in the silence till I’m ready to wake my children.

When the children wake up, I make breakfast, get them dressed, and do their hair. Because everything is prepared and laid out the night before, this is a relaxing time for the children and I. No rushing around to get everything ready. At 8:15am we’re on our way out of the door to drop my oldest off at school. This leaves me with only the two youngest kids for the rest of the day.

My 3-year-old loves to help mommy so I use it to my advantage. Including the children in the house hold chores benefits them as well as yourself. All tasks get completed faster if everyone helps out.

I try to prepare dinner in the afternoon, so dinner doesn’t feel so rushed. After I pick up my daughter, we come home, do homework, eat supper and then she helps me with the dishes.

Most evenings we are out the door right after supper for an activity of some sort. Then we come home have a bath and get our pj’s on. Once they’re all in bed it’s time once again for mom to get all the stuff prepared for the next day.

One of the most important things that a time management mom knows, is when to take some “me” time. If you’re not happy the children won’t be either. I have many little breaks throughout the day. In the morning before the children wake up I take time to enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the news. When my 2 youngest are napping in the afternoon its mommy’s time to make supper. I love to cook, therefore this time helps me relax and also be a time management mom.

The Single Moms Survival Guide!

When the children go to bed for the night, I use this time to get everything ready for the next day. I put on my music and begin by preparing for the next day and slowly get myself ready for bed. I find having a cup of tea and watching a movie puts me to sleep.

There are many things that a person can do to become a time management mom. Feel free to share some of your tips in the comments below.

Until next time,

Just take a look at Microsoft Outlook and how you can organize all your e-mails, organize meetings, other calendar entries, etc. It was invented by Mr. Gates a successful businessman.

Being a mother is never an easy job, but I think it is the most rewarding. Its nice to hear moms like you who really take time to care for their child, keep up the good work. Seems like you have a very beautiful family and you are blessed.

Actually Czech, I know some guys that are wonderful time management dads. My brother is one of them. No matter how busy his schedule is, he deliberately pencils in time with his two sons, making it clear to everyone that this time is not something he has to do, but something that is precious to him. When push comes to shove in the future, those boys are going to remember his love and caring.
